Having that private moment to see each other at a special location on your wedding day before the ceremony is priceless. There's more emotion expressed since it's just the two of you, and it's more intimate. That moment may be the only time when the two of you will be alone for the entire day! And although it goes against tradition, the wedding is about the two of you and how you celebrate it should absolutely be up to you!  We've shot weddings the traditional way, too, and it's just as magical! What it all boils down to is having that special moment seeing each other for the first time on your wedding day. However that came to be, it really isn't going to matter because in that moment, nothing else around you will.
